THERE BE MONSTERS (BIBA® Winner!)

“A batshit crazy yarn of a novel, I’m kinda in awe. There’s only so much you can cram into 400 pages yet Dylan James Quarles manages to do it and make it look effortless. Pieces of a time puzzle fit together in such a way I kept going “Damn!” This book is a swirling mass of 80’s adventure homage, period piece, and cosmic body horror—and it’s all so freakin’ fun. This was an absolute gem and I feel really lucky to have found it in that little bookshop in Port Townsend.” Jonah Barrett (Orca Books)

“If you like Stephen King you'll love this.”

“I was sucked into this intriguing novel within the first few pages, and the entertainment just kept coming! The author manages to take you back to the 16th century and get you settled in for an epic saga of adventure, betrayal, and solid old-fashioned heroism, but then he suckerpunches you with some 21st century mad-scientist, black-site military intrigue, and then manages to somehow splice the seemingly disparate threads together into a brilliant cohesive story that demands a sequel, then another, and another! I was left satisfied but with an appetite for more- I can only hope the author is working on the next book in the Jonah Munday saga.”

THE MAN FROM ROME

“A mega adventure with true literary overtones. Chapter by chapter, page by page, acts of vengeance, violence, retribution, and ultimate justification will leave you wanting more. The Man from Rome is a unique book from a uniquely gifted author. You will be thrilled." -Curt Colbert, author of All Along the Watch Tower and Rat City.

“Insanely creative and fun novel! This book is fabulous." -JP Kenwood, author of the Dominus saga.

“This whole book felt like a spy-thriller to me, but one with supernatural characters at least two of whom are close to immortal. The cast is wonderful. The Man from Rome himself is properly enigmatic and occasionally extraordinarily frightening. His enemies are intriguing as well, and the weapon they have chosen to use on him—taken out of the pages of mythology—was absolutely fascinating. The humans drawn into the conflict are both extremely sympathetic as they seek to be something more than sacrificial pawns. The plot was extremely well thought out, the action pulse-pounding, and the mystery intriguing. And while I knew very little about the geography of the city of Rome before I started reading, the author succeeded in making me feel transported to that ancient city. If you’re looking for a fast-paced adventure with a lot of twists and turns, I think you’ll enjoy The Man from Rome.” - Gilbert M. Stack (5 star amazon.com review)

“Three dimensional complex characters race around Rome, shifting throughout history, myth and time. Looking forward to more.” Jean Baldwin (5 star amazon.com review)

“An absolute thrill ride with wonderfully crafted characters and a uniquely creative, fast-paced, violent plot. Ancient gods use humans and mythological beings to battle each other in modern day Rome. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.” - Roma (5 star amazon.com review)

“A fast paced mythological thriller that is intriguing right from the first page to the list. With lits of twists in turns, that kept me on the edge of my seat.” - Saun Joesten (5 star amazon.com review)

“This is an all action book from start to finish. The type of book you don't want to leave down.” - brannonj (4 amazon.com review)

“Interesting, delightful, gruesome.” - Marjory (4 star amazon.com review)

“What a fantastic book. This isn't your typical fantasy. It weaves classic mythology with modern day Rome in a mystery that will keep you guessing. The characters are well-rounded and the story is gripping. You won't want to put this book down.” Jacob Lesser (5 star amazon.com review)

“This is a book that I couldn't put down. Every chapter was action-packed.” - Greg (5 Star amazon.com review)

“Very good read has everthing immortals, mortals, non-stop action all set in Rome, the present interwoven with the myths of the past. I was enthralled, didn't want the book to end.” - barb (5 star amazon.com review)

Great read!” - Amazon Customer (5 star audible.com review)
